As the name suggests Backup Folder Sync is a tool that has the ability of backing up and restoring your data. It backs up your selected folders and then you can save them to any local folder, external drive, USB stick, network share or mapped drive, and them simply restore them to any folder of your choice, even the original one.

This app lets you save backup selections as jobs, so you are not required to choose the folders every single time you are creating a backup of some specific folders. You are also provided with a detailed report that lists every single file and folder being affected.
At the time you re-do your backups, only those files are copied that have been added or changed. The item in the backup destination folder will also be deleted when any folders in the source are deleted. In this way you won't have any old items.
Backup Folder Sync boasts two panes. In the left pane the backup folders appear, and in the right pane the restore process is displayed. At the top, you would see some buttons like, Open Job, Save Job, Refresh, Clear, Destination, Backup, Restore etc.
To start simply click on the 'Destination' to select a local or a remote location in order to save your backups. You can select folders by right-clicking the directories that you wish to include, and Ctrl+right-click to exclude.
After you are done with selecting the folders, now all you have to do is to click Backup. You are required to typ in a name for the backup job.
As aforementioned, saving the backup jobs will prove to be beneficial for you when the next time you are required to create a backup of the same folders, you simply have to open the job and all your folders will be pre-selected. This amazing tool would also show all the files in the right pane.
When you wish to restore your data, simply choose the Destination where you saved your backups, then click Restore Open and choose the folders you wish to restore by simply right clicking on them. After you are done with selecting all the folders you want, just click Restore.
Deleting or changing the file or folder in source, and then overwriting the back up, will also delete them in the backup in order to get rid of all the unwanted files and folders. A downer of this tool is that you do not have the ability of scheduling your backups to be performed automatically, but we hope the creator of this tool will take care of this downer in the future releases. You are required to have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or higher to run this app and it works on all versions of Windows.
