Microsoft Tag Reader Lets You Convert Microsoft Tag File into PNG, JPEG, SVG Image Format

Just like the QR code Microsoft has brought in a TAG format. Tag is actually a technology by Microsoft that encodes data in 2D bar-code that uses bunches of colored triangles rather than the square pixels. Microsoft tag aims at instant data sharing among users through mobile marketing.

Microsoft tag manager can be used to create TAG that can be placed on packaging, print ads, marketing materials, on business cards or websites. Now when people will scan a Tag on their smartphones with the free Tag app, it will take them to your mobile site, show a video, download an app, add contact details to their address book, or dial a phone number. This way you won't
need to worry about people correctly typing in your URL or finding you online because Tag instantly provides all the relevant info.

The downer is that putting up a .tag format file on website is impossible as it can not be rendered on any browsers & Microsoft TAG Manager only provides tag rendering in PDF or RAW format. If you want to convert Microsoft TAG to other image file format then here is freeware tool named Microsoft Tag Reader that lets you do that.

Microsoft Tag Reader is a very basic tool that can read Microsoft’s “.tag” file format. It renders tags and saves them in several file formats like PNG, SVG, JPEG, Bitmap, JPED XR .
